For October 2026, we'll be highlighting quilts with the Rail Fence pattern. It's pattern is an easy pattern with great results! You can plan where certain colors of fabrics go, or you can embrace scrappy. Rail Fence blocks are made from 2½-in. strips of fabric, sewn together and then subcut. Blocks can finish at 4 in., 6 in., or 8 in. They are arranged to alternate with the seams going vertically or horizontally. Get Rail Fence Instructions.
